The Wellness Hubs are a wellness experience based both in physical spaces in Holland & Barrett stores and online (website and an app). The physical aspects of the Wellness Hubs are separate spaces within specific Holland & Barret stores, that bring to life six areas of wellness. Completing the Wellness Questionnaire will show how you score in each of them.

If you come into one of the physical Wellness Hubs, you’ll see how all those elements come to life. You’ll meet one of our team, answer or review your Wellness Questionnaire, and receive your personalised options for products and services from Holland & Barrett and our partners.**

Your appointment with one of our team will help you find out more about your current wellness status. They will guide you through a Wellness Questionnaire to look at the six pillars of wellness.

They’ll create a holistic assessment from a combination of your personal history and lifestyle habits. This experience brings together health and wellness partners from around the world to offer you a broad range of wellness products and services. After your assessment, you will receive personalised options for products and services available from Holland & Barrett and our partners**.

You will receive your results directly from our service partners via email – Bluecrest for blood tests and Ixcela for gut health (also known as the microbiome) finger prick test.

You should expect to receive your blood test results from Bluecrest within 8 days of taking the test, although it may take up to 21 days on rare occasions. In a small proportion of cases, your blood test results may be inconclusive. If so, we will invite you to make another appointment (with no additional charge) at the Wellness Hub to retake the test.

You should expect to receive your gut health finger prick test results from Ixcela within 7-10 days of taking the test, although, on rare occasions, it may take more than 10 days. In a small proportion of cases, your gut health finger prick test results may be inconclusive, and if so, we will invite you to make another appointment (with no additional charge) at the Wellness Hub to retake the test.

There is a variety of health checks and tests that you can take at the Wellness Hub, provided through our partners, Bluecrest and Ixcela.

Bluecrest provides health checks in a dedicated, sterile area at the Wellness Hubs. These health tests include cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid function, vitamin D and other tests to check your overall health and more.

To ensure that you can have one of these tests during your appointment, we would recommend that you make a booking through our website https://beyondbyhollandandbarrett.com, the Beyond App (available on both iOS and Android) or via the limited functionality web app (only for making bookings and for completing the health assessment questionnaire) available on the web at this link https://app.beyondbyhollandandbarrett.com. Each test appointment takes around 20- 30 minutes. A complete price list of packages is available on our website.

Ixcela provides gut health (also known as the microbiome) assessments through their finger prick test kits. The finger prick test kit is available for purchase in the Wellness Hub for £249. We will provide you with a safe, sterile space to complete your finger prick test, after which you will deposit your sample for shipment to Ixcela labs. This process should take no more than 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

No, there’s no special preparation, although we would ask you to try and be on time for your booking. This will avoid you missing your appointment or having to wait for the next available slot.

Some preparation might be needed if you choose to book the blood checks with Bluecrest and Ixcela. This could mean 4 hours fasting before taking the cholesterol test with Bluecrest and at least 72 hours without paracetamol-based medications (such as Panadol) before the Ixcela test.

You can, although you may need to wait for the next available slot. If there is no available slot that day, we’ll be able to let you know when we could fit you in. If there is a slot, we’ll get your booking all set up with one of the in-store Holland & Barrett Wellness Specialist.

There is no cost associated with making a booking at the Wellness Hub, and the initial consultation with our Holland & Barrett Wellness Specialist is free of charge. There will be charges associated with any products or solutions purchased at the Wellness Hub.

Please do let us know as soon as you can if you need to amend or cancel your booking if you cannot make your appointment. It helps us to fit in anyone turning up on the day without an appointment.

As we all continue to play our part in managing the Covid-19 outbreak, we have put a list of measures in place, starting at the reception desk with Covid questions. You’re possibly used to these by now.

We’ll ask you about whether you’ve developed a new cough or high temperature, along with a couple of other questions.

If you answer yes to any of the Covid-19 questions.

A positive answer to any of the questions will mean that you won’t be able to begin your Wellness Hub appointment today. We don’t keep any of these details on record.

Following that, there will be an area to check your temperature quickly. This is a no-contact skin temperature reading only. If your temperature is high, we’ll ask you to leave the store and come back in 10 minutes. We can then recheck your temperature. Unfortunately, if it’s high a second time, then you won’t be able to begin your Wellness Hub appointment on the same day.

In addition to the Covid questions, you will need to complete a Track and Trace form. This can be either through the NHS Track & Trace App or through the Holland & Barrett digital Track and Trace form (which will be deleted after 21 days).

We have also put in place additional Covid-19 secure arrangements throughout the Wellness Hub, such as 2-metre social distancing arrangements, reduced contact time and an extensive cleaning and disinfectant programme. One of the team will clean all equipment and contact points with an anti-bacterial/viricidal product after each customer uses them. We clean the Laboratory area with a high-grade disinfectant.

Finally, in line with the current government guidelines, we require everyone to wear a face mask unless they are exempt. Our Holland & Barrett Wellness Specialists will all be wearing face masks or shields. Please wear a face mask before you enter the H&B store. You’ll also find hand sanitiser at the store and Wellness Hub entrances.

This is not possible at the moment as part of our Covid-19 precautions.

Your data security is very important to us. We comply with all the industry best practices and abide by GDPR regulations. We consider data protection issues as part of the design and implementation of systems, services, products and business practices (‘Data Protection by Design’).

The Beyond App allows you to book an appointment at the Wellness Hub, complete the Wellness Questionnaire and start to explore the six dimensions of your wellness. The App will give you personalised ideas and inspiration for activities that can support your wellness and a daily checklist that you can create to fit your needs.

The Beyond App is available on both iOS and Android. There is also a limited version of the app (only for making bookings and completing the wellness assessment questionnaire) available on the web at this link https://app.beyondbyhollandandbarrett.com/

You can book online via the Beyond web app at this link https://app.beyondbyhollandandbarrett.com/. To book, you will need to register first – this is a simple process, and all we need is your name and mobile phone number. Once you have registered, you will see the option to book. Choose the type of appointment you want and the day and time that suits you best. We will confirm your appointment by SMS. You can log in to the Beyond App at any time to review the details of your appointment or to cancel or reschedule if required.

You will need an account to book your appointment. This will also allow you to have access to your booking information at any time, should you need to consult or modify it.

The Beyond App also allows you to complete the wellness assessment questionnaire and save your responses before your visit. This will take only 10-15 minutes and allows you to save time during your appointment at the Wellness Hub. It also means our Holland & Barrett Wellness Specialists can review your answers before your visit, providing you with the best service during your appointment. You will also have more time to enjoy your visit.

We use your phone number to create your login for an appointment. You will receive the booking confirmation directly to your mobile phone and a reminder the day before your visit. It also makes your life a little simpler as you will not need to remember yet another password – simply enter your mobile number on the login screen, and we will send you a login code via SMS to complete the process.

You can log in to the Beyond App at any time to consult the details of your appointment, to cancel or reschedule it if required. To log in, you just need your mobile phone number.
